The Nederlandsche Vereeniging van Antiquaren (NVvA: Dutch Association of Antiquarian Booksellers) is a professional association of about 60 dealers in old and rare books, prints and maps, established in 1935.

Members are strictly selected based on their professional knowledge and experience and are held to high standards of professional conduct.

Amsterdam Book Fair

We are very happy to announce that this year’s edition of the Amsterdam International Antiquarian Book Fair will be held on October 10 and 11 at the Zuiderkerk.

Four new members

The NVvA proudly presents four new members: Michel de Vries (Antiquariaat Berger & De Vries, Groningen), Peter Dullaert (Heilige Handel, Deventer), Laurens Heij (Fahrenheit 451, Leiden) en Nick ter Wal (Artistiek Bureau, Groningen).

Prize for Young Book Collectors

During the Amsterdam Book Fair 2025, Laurens de Man (second from left) was awarded the Prize for Young Book Collectors for his exquisite collection of miniature books.

This prize is an initiative of the Dutch Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (NVvA), the Dutch Society of Bibliophiles and Rijksmuseum Huis van het boek. De jury consisted of Marieke van Delft (Stichting Vrienden Museum Meermanno), NVvA-president Laurens Hesselink, and Alex Alsemgeest (Rijksmuseum).
